In between their rigorous training, these Port Adelaide team members always make time for a quick coffee in the Port. While they go for the caffeine, they always stay for the community and connection.
Coffee is integral to South Australian culture, with iconic cafes dotted throughout every corner of the state forming a key part of our local communities.
It’s where we catch up with old friends, get to know our favourite barista or where you discover a stranger is a friendly neighbour while you wait for your morning takeaway.
We spoke with five players from Port Adelaide Football Club about their favourite coffee spots in the area and the positive impacts they have on the local community.

What is your standard coffee order?
Oat iced latte

Always has good coffee, friendly staff and lots of doggos.
How does this place enhance the local community?
It’s located in a suburban area, which gives a super relaxed vibe, so makes for a great place for locals to grab a coffee and connect.

What is your standard coffee order?
Double shot latte or iced latte in summer
Describe why this is your favourite place?
Handy having it at training so I can grab a coffee whenever I need.
How does this place enhance the local community?
It’s the perfect place to have a coffee and overlook the oval, watch the guys and girls train and play.

Large lactose free flat white

Some great organic produce for purchase in store. Plenty of bagel options as well. Who doesn’t love a bagel? Also the staff are very friendly and the business has plenty of eco-initiatives in store!
How does this place enhance the local community?
By providing quality coffee and great food for all the locals to come and meet. They also provide all their food scraps to the Semaphore Compost Network or to the local chickens. Lucky chicks!
